Site terms

This document covers two matters: the way geokisumu.com may be used, and the way I structure paid work. The site is here to inform, nothing more. Paid work runs under its own signed agreement — and where that agreement and these terms ever disagree, the agreement wins.

1. Using this site

Everything published on geokisumu.com is offered in good faith as a truthful account of how the work operates at the time of writing. None of it is legal, regulatory or commercial advice. Anyone who acts on the site's contents without an active engagement does so at their own risk.

Please do not harvest the site's text in bulk, rebuild the method from the public pages, or republish long passages without crediting the source. A plain link, or a quotation that clearly names where it came from, is normally welcome.

2. The intake form

Submitting the form sets up no offer, no contract and no commitment on either side. It is simply a tidy way to pass along context. Once that context lets me give something useful, I reply. Sending it, by itself, earns you no right to a particular answer, a fixed turnaround, or a service.

There are times I will decline a message — it may fall outside what I do, current capacity may not reach it, or some other practical reason applies. Turning something down says nothing about the worth of your business; availability and fit are usually what decide it.

3. The shape of paid work

No paid work begins until a written agreement has been signed by both parties first. That agreement holds the scope, the deliverables, the schedule, the fees, the payment terms, confidentiality, intellectual-property arrangements and the path for resolving any dispute. These site terms do not stand in its place.

A set of open principles guides the work: the customer's question is read before a single page is touched; the answer an engine gives, and the proof behind it, are noted before any repair is proposed; meaning is checked across both English and Swahili; shores, neighbourhoods, routes and trades are held apart rather than blurred into one vague place; reviews are read as evidence rather than applause; sensitive failures are discussed as composite examples while the real place names stand as evidence; and no engagement ever promises command over rankings, citations or share of recommendations. Where an instruction cuts against these principles — a demand for fake reviews, buried complaints, fabricated proof or popularity inflated by trickery — the work is renegotiated or brought to a close; the principles are not traded away to seem accommodating.

4. No results are promised

How you appear in answer engines and in search depends on forces no one fully commands: the behaviour of the models, the rules of third-party platforms, the implementation choices you make yourself, the market and time itself. For that reason nothing is guaranteed — not a place in the results, not a citation from any model, not a recommendation, not one specific AI behaviour. The work observes, compares and describes how answers behave, then points to page and source changes likely to make a business easier to read; the outcomes remain outside its control. Firm expectations, their limits and a clearly drawn scope live in the written agreement.

5. Liability

For free use of the site, liability is kept to the smallest extent the law allows. For paid work, liability is defined and capped inside the agreement itself. None of this removes liability for intentional wrongdoing, fraud, gross negligence, or any case where the law will not permit an exclusion.

6. Governing law

The laws of Kenya govern use of this site, save where consumer-protection law grants you a more favourable jurisdiction. For paid work, the governing law and the competent court are fixed in the written agreement.

7. Updates to these terms

As the way I work changes, these terms are updated to keep pace. The version that applies is the one shown by the "Updated" date at the top. When a change affects work already in progress, the clients involved are told directly; when it concerns the site alone, it simply appears here.
